RTF BLOOD DONATION TO THE AUBMC CHILDREN CANCER CENTRE

The Rifca Taji Foundation (RTF) donated blood at the Blood Bank, AUBMC, for the Children Cancer Centre (CCCL) on Friday, January 16, 2015. Our team members have generously executed this humanitarian gesture that will improve and save many lives. The RTF team members felt proud of themselves for taking such an initiative to help CCCL children. The Children Cancer Centre (CCCL) expressed their deepest gratitude and profound appreciation to the RTF team. RTF will support the CCCL by organizing blood donation activities on a regular basis.

RIFCA TAJI FOUNDATION PARTICIPATED IN GHARSIT AL KHEIR ACTIVITY AND PLANTED 250 TREES IN BAADA IN COLLABORATION WITH THE MUNICIPALITY AND THE MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE​

Under the patronage of H.E. Minister of Agriculture Mr. Akram Shhayeb, represented by the Director General of Ministry of Agriculture Mr. Louis Lahoud, and the presence of the Mount Lebanon Governor Mr. Fouad Fleifel, and Miss Lebanon for Immigrants Miss Leya Saad, the Rafca Taji Foundation (RTF) organized the “Gharset El Kheir” project on December 20, 2014. The project aimed at supporting the Community Service Decree number 8924 that was announced by the “Presidency of Council of Ministers” in 2012 and consequently executed by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education at that time represented by H.E. former Minister of Education and Higher Education Professor. Hassan Diab. In order to raise awareness about the importance of Community Service among the Lebanese students, who represent the future of Lebanon, RTF has involved around 200 students from the Universal School of Aley and the Lebanese Evangelical School who planted 250 different kinds of trees in Sibnay village in Baabda in close collaboration with the Municipality of Baabda- Louaize, the Association for Forest Development & Conservation(AFDC), and the Media representatives.

UNITED HANDS LEBANON

On November 30, 2014, the Beirut Celebrations association organized the “United Across Lebanon” event in order to celebrate our country’s 71 years of independence in 2014. The Rifca Taji Foundation (RTF) contributed to this initiative that involved 200.000 Lebanese people with their rich diversified background, who came together in the form of a Virtual Human Chain starting in Tripoli along the coast of Lebanon through to Tyre. RTF volunteers joined the “Holding Hands” chain that united the Lebanese citizens at large. Our team members were among the Lebanese people who came together from coast to coast to create an unbroken bond and show an unprecedented unity.

RIFCA TAJI FOUNDATION PARTICIPATED IN BEIRUT MARATHON 2014

​On November 9, 2014, over 37 thousand runners participated in the BDL Beirut Marathon Race that involved runners from all over Lebanon and more than a 100 nationalities across the world. The Rifca Taji Foundation (RTF) contributed to the event by providing over a 100 of volunteers who were present at the finish line and had a great hand in making the participants’ running experience smooth, safe, and enjoyable. Our volunteers supported all the race’s participants who represented schools, universities, running clubs, corporates, and NGOs by providing consistent assistantship to them throughout the whole running course.
